Last week was an exceptional week in athletics for Thomasville High School. Abigale White signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her diving career for James Madison University. Mallory Fletcher also signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her softball career for Georgia State University. Congratulations to both of these student-athletes.
Congratulations to the Thomasville High School Football Team on their dominating performance over Berrien County 68-6 Friday night. It was a magnificent atmosphere in large part due to the Sound of the Pound, the Red Hots, and the Thomasville High School Football Cheerleaders. Congratulations to all of these student-competitors on their fine performances on Friday evening.
On Saturday morning, the Thomasville High School hosted the annual Dean Farrell Invitational at the Butler Mason YMCA. Congratulations to Lewis Stringfellow, who qualified for the GHSA State Swim competition in two events swimming a 100-yard freestyle in 51.37 seconds and 50 freestyle in 23.27 seconds. Congratulations to Makenna Ponder, who went on to win two events, swimming the fastest overall in the 50 freestyle in 27.7 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:03:76. Finally, congratulations to Natalie Herrin, Makenna Ponder, Olivia Suite, and Katherine Jones won the 200-yard medley relay event.
Playoff Football Tickets:
This week, more information will be announced when tickets for the GHSA State Playoff First Round will go on sale. Please stay tuned for that information. The Bulldogs will host the first round of the state playoffs at Veterans Memorial Stadium on November 27th.
Basketball Tickets Information:
Tickets for the scrimmage for Colquitt County will be sold at the gate on Tuesday night. On Friday, tickets for the Saturday home game against Bainbridge High School will go on sale beginning at 11 am and concluding at 4 pm.
