✨Students who visited the media center today got a special treat! Mrs. Belinda Johnson, MPMS teacher, brought her certified service dogs, Mary Grace and Daisy to school. 🐕‍🦺The dogs enjoyed students reading Christmas books to them. 🎄They also enjoyed the treats and belly rubs!🦴 It seems like the kids enjoyed it too!❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Our 2024 PAGE STAR Student & STAR Teacher! 🌟 We’re thrilled to announce that Rose Lehman, a senior at the Scholars Academy of Thomasville High School, has been named the 2024 PAGE STAR Student, and her math teacher, Elaina Johnson, has been honored as STAR Teacher for her dedication and outstanding guidance. The PAGE STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program, presented by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), celebrates academic excellence among high school seniors across Georgia. To earn this honor, Rose met rigorous criteria, including earning the highest SAT score at her school on a single test date through November of her senior year, while also ranking among the top 10 percent of her class based on grade point average. Mrs. Johnson, who teaches courses including Geometry, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics, was nominated for her exceptional teaching, ability to inspire students, and unwavering dedication to academic success. Her mentorship has played a key role in Rose’s remarkable achievements. Thomasville City Schools, Scholars Academy, and Thomasville High School proudly celebrate Rose Lehman and Mrs. Elaina Johnson for this well-deserved recognition. 🎥🌦️ Special Visit from WCTV! 🌦️🎥 Our 6th graders had an exciting day with Mike McCall and Josh Green from WCTV! 📺 They shared the latest in the field of meteorology, from weather patterns to storm tracking. 🌪️🌧️ The highlight? Learning how the green screen works! 💚 Students had a blast seeing how weather forecasts come to life on screen. 🎄Students ring in the Yuletide spirit! 🎄 December Dollar Days Fundraising for the Landstrom Family will only go for two weeks: December 2-13. We will NOT be doing this fundraiser the last week of December. Students are asked to bring $1 each day for incentives. Once a student has brought $5, they may receive a LandSTRONG sticker. Once a student has brought $10, they may earn 1 hour of community service. (Limit 1 hour) Students will bring donations to the following teachers: 6th - homeroom teachers 7th - Mrs. Sumner 8th - Mrs. King BIG THANKS to Mrs. Knop!
