We are proud to announce that Evan Ariail has been named the STAR Student winner for Region nine. The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgiaβs highest-achieving high school seniors and the teachers most instrumental in their academic development. Mr. Charles Gammel was chosen by Evan as the STAR teacher. Evan will now have the opportunity to compete at the State Page STAR competition.

Thomasville High School Marketing students MK Edwards, Tatiana Everhart, Connor Pringle and Ella Rodd traveled to Georgia Tech this week to pitch original product ideas at the K-12 InVenture Prize Competition. Out of more than three-thousand students who participated in region-level events this spring, our students placed among the top 10% of competitors across Georgia and were then invited to advance to state. We are proud to celebrate our studentsβ innovation and high-achievement!

Our PBIS afternoon in the park for good behavior was fun, fun, fun!
Last week, the MacIntyre Park Middle School Concert band traveled to Cairo High School to perform at the GMEA District 2 Large Group Performance Evaluation. The students gave an outstanding performance and received all Superior ratings in both Concert Performance and Sightreading - these are the highest achievable ratings an ensemble can get. Bravo young musicians!

As a culminating activity for Black History Month, 7th and 8th graders got the chance to go see FAMU's Theatre Department perform "The Wiz" today! A great time was had by all! A great big THANK YOU goes out to our local AKA's, who funded this outing for us!
