We’re thrilled to announce that Mrs. Stephanie Sharp and our Scottie team have earned a $5,000 Youth Literacy Grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation! 🎉

Our project, “Facts for the Future: Strengthening Non-Fiction Literacy,” will open new doors for students to grow as readers, explorers, and lifelong learners. ❤️💛

🚨Important Updates to our transportation and pickup procedures:
🚗1. Back & Side Porch Pickup
Back & side porch pickup will now be available only from 2:50 PM until 3:15 PM. After 3:15 PM, all pickups must be made from the front entrance of the school. Please make every effort to arrive on time.
🕑2. Early Checkouts
There will be no early checkouts after 2:00 PM. No exceptions will be made to this policy, as late checkouts disrupt instruction and dismissal safety. Buses are coming earlier as well to get students out and on time.
🕦3. Transportation Changes
We will not allow any changes to the way a student gets home after 11:30 AM. All transportation changes must be made before 11:30 AM each day. This policy is in place for student safety and to ensure accurate dismissal lists.
🚍4. Bus Route Changes
If you are changing the address where a student will go home on the bus, you must: Submit the change through the transportation app. Provide documentation with the guardian’s name and the new address (examples: utility bill, registration form, etc.). Allow 24 hours for the change to take effect.

This week, our incredible Thomasville City Schools Speech-Language Pathologists have been hard at work at Jerger, Scott, and Harper Elementary Schools. From conducting student screenings to collaborating with teachers and staff, they’re making a big impact on communication and learning across our district.
